Restorative Yoga is a practice that allows time to relax into supported yoga postures, calming the body and mind. In this gentle restorative session, poses are held for a long period of time for decompressing the joints, deeply relaxing the muscles and to de-stress and rejuvenate the mind and body.

With hand-on assists and massages provided by Deb and Carol, students will leave feeling nourished, refreshed, and well-rested. Ahhhhhh….

No Yoga experience required but you must be able to get down on the floor and rest.

This combination of a Vinyasa (Yang) and Yin postures will restore the natural mobility of the joints, allowing muscles to engage and then release opening the body's meridian system, enhancing energetic flow and supporting emotional equilibrium.

The Yin poses are similar to Vinyasa poses except with different names and held longer to help to shift the mind from Yang (active) to Yin (passive). As the Yin sequence progresses, stillness and silence will be emphasized preparing both the body and the mind for meditation.

This practice will benefit students who would like exposure to the advantages of both an active Vinyasa flow merging to a passive, meditative Yin practice.
