Trish Portanova, RYT 200

Trish started practicing yoga in 2017 as a compliment to playing competitive sports. She was immediately drawn to the balance of effort and ease characteristic of a vinyasa flow, as well as the integration of mind, body, and spirit. Trish soon found her life was completely transformed through yoga and became an avid student. 

Trish completed her 200hr teacher training with Tricia Philpott in 2022. To deepen her practice, she studies Buddhism and meditation practices. Trish infuses her upbeat classes with mindfulness, humor, and joy. 

Trish holds a PhD in Rhetoric and Composition. Off the mat, she serves as a professor of English at a community college, undergirding her pedagogy with yoga philosophy. When she is not teaching, Trish can be found spending time with friends, family, and her sweet little dog.
