Jessica Styles, RYT

Jessica took her first power class in 2000 at Baptiste Power Yoga in Cambridge, Mass.  Despite being a lifelong athlete accustomed to exercising and working out, Jessica learned from her first class that yoga taps into numerous muscles that were neglected in her traditional workouts.  She was hooked. After 16 years of practicing, she completed her RYT 200 at Empower Yoga Studio in Beverly, Mass. Jessica has a passion for sports and desire to teach yoga to athletes.

Beyond preventing injuries and enhancing athletic performance, she believes that moving meditation also trains athletes to focus more effectively during competition. One of Jessica’s goals is to expose young athletes to yoga so that it becomes an integral part of their future training regimens.

Jessica lives in Hamilton, Mass. with her husband, four children and two golden retrievers.  She played soccer growing up in Marblehead, Mass. and at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine.  She enjoys running and walking her dogs. She also spends countless hours watching her children play hockey, soccer, tennis and lacrosse.
